About Jex Farm

The Food

One luxury of staying with us at Jex Farm is the food. Ingredients are sourced locally and cooked by Stephen and served by Lynne in the bright Breakfast room overlooking the front garden. After a peaceful night’s sleep there really is no better way to start the day than with one of our breakfasts.

For your freshly cooked full English breakfast you can choose from the following:

  • Norfolk bacon
  • Local Norfolk sausage
  • Mushrooms
  • Grilled tomato
  • Baked beans
  • Our own free range eggs – fried/scrambled/poached.
  •        Or
  • Omelette – plain/cheese/mushroom/bacon
  •      Or
  • Scrambled eggs with smoked salmon

      • Porridge
      • Toast white/brown/mixed

      We have a selection of cereals, gluten free cereals, yogurts, dried and fresh fruit and all our preserves are homemade. With a variety of teas and coffee available.

      Wildlife at Jex Farm

      Being situated in rural North Norfolk gives our guests at Jex Farm an insight into what its really like to live amongst the beautiful wildlife this country has to offer. We have owl nesting boxes located around the farm, where you can see them hunting over the meadows.

      We also have a number of other animals patrolling the grounds including buzzards, deer, woodpeckers, stoats and hedgehogs. Most of the pictures below were taken by Stephen whilst out on his walks around the farm.

      Relaxed rural Luxury

      An amazing B&B in a beautiful tranquil location, ideal for exploring the North Norfolk coast. We were greeted on our arrival by Lynne with tea, coffee and homemade cake then shown to our immaculate accommodation, ‘The Parlour’.
      This is our second visit after a few years and the room was still crisp and fresh looking like new, evidence of regular refurbishment, with a warm inviting bathroom. We have stayed in ‘tired’ looking accommodation in our time but none of this at Jex Farm. A nice touch was a change of towels after a few days. The Aga cooked breakfasts with homemade jams were superb. I especially liked the option of the smoked salmon with the scrambled egg, a refreshing change to the normal full English. A big Hurrah to our hosts Stephen and Lynne from Trevor and Eileen. - Artisan17

      Jex Farm – Utterly amazing place

      I would just like to share with everyone what an amazing place Jex Farm is. The quality of the B&B and Self Catering is of the very highest quality - certainly the best I have stayed in during 30+ years of visiting Norfolk. If you add to this just how peaceful and relaxing the farm is and how friendly the hosts are - you know you are in Paradise. But... add to this the wildlife: Barn Owl, Tawny Owl and Little Owl all live and breed on the farm - it is a birders (and bird photographers) dream come true. I have stayed here three times now and never been disappointed, simply delighted. - DaveNay2014

      Welcoming and peaceful

      We received a warm welcome from owners Lynne and Steve who were attentive and helpful throughout our stay. The accommodation was comfortable and very clean with plenty of extras. The only thing I missed was a box of tissues. Breakfast was excellent quality with a good choice. You did not feel over-faced. The food was locally sourced, well cooked and presented with home prepared compotes and preserves. Despite being a working farm the location was peaceful and our room, The Dairy, felt secluded and private. Would recommend Jex Farmhouse and will visit again. - Caroline B

      Just brilliant!

      We visited for the first time this week having driven past the entrance many times on the way to see friends and I wish we had stopped here before. We were in the parlour which is beautifully appointed - more like a hotel than a b & b! Superb breakfast cooked by Stephen with home grown eggs done just the way we like them. Lynne and Stephen are so friendly and treat you like members of the family but are not in your face. So good in fact that we booked our next stay as soon as we got home! - Timothy S
